Chard Street Fayre - Terms and Conditions - Please read as you will be asked to agree to them on booking.

    Time  9am to 4pm

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Chard Street Fayre. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.

Please NO more stalls - We have reached the limit 

  • Donut stalls
  • Utility Warehouse
  • Ice-cream vans
  • Dog related stalls

Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

  • Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances, except as noted in Section 2.

  • Payment in full  at time of completing the form is required to secure your stall space.

  • General Stalls will be £26,50, Charity Stalls £16.50 

2. Stall Selection

  • We are proud to offer a variety of stalls to our visitors. To maintain a diverse range of offerings, we may refuse applications if we feel there are too many of a specific type of stall.

  • If your application is refused due to duplication of stall types, a full refund will be issued.

3. Confirmation of Booking

  • If you have not heard from us within one week of submitting your booking, you can assume that your application has been accepted and your stall space is reserved.

4. Instructions and Information

  • Detailed instructions for the event day, including arrival times, setup details, and safety guidelines, will be emailed approximately one week before the event. It is your responsibility to review and follow these instructions.

5. Event Day Guidelines

  • Stallholders are responsible for the setup and breakdown of their stalls.

  • All stalls must be set up by the designated start time and remain operational for the entire duration of the event.

  • Stallholders are responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of their space.

6. Liability and Insurance

  • The event organizers are not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of goods or equipment.

  • All stallholders must have their own public liability insurance and be able to provide proof if requested.

7. Hot Food stalls 

  • Must be pre-approved before booking and a separate form will be sent to you.

  • Food hygiene certificates must be uploaded

  • We can only take food stalls with a Food hygiene rating of 4 or above will be accepted and displayed on your stall in plain view.

Policy on Abuse Toward Volunteers

We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all individuals involved in Chard Carnival. Our volunteers are the heart of our mission, dedicating their time and energy to support Chard. Any form of abuse—whether verbal, physical, emotional, or written—directed toward our volunteers will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Scope
This policy applies to all stall holders interacting with our volunteers at the Street Fayre

Definition of Abuse
Abuse may include, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal threats, insults, or demeaning language
  • Physical aggression or intimidation
  • Harassment in any form, including online or written communication

Response and Enforcement
If any incident of abuse is reported:

  1. The incident will be documented and investigated thoroughly.
  2. Appropriate actions will be taken, which may include:
    • Immediate removal from the Street Fayre
    • Suspension or termination of attending future Chard Carnival events
    • Reporting to the police, if necessary

We reserve the right to take any further actions needed to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers.
