Chard Evolution welcome anyone aged four and over. We participate in many annual community events such as fetes and carnivals as well as charity competitions.
In 2020 the pandemic brought everyone closer together in many different ways. We helped with a community project within one of our local nursing homes- the Poppy Appeal involved making poppies for Oaklodge Care Home. We are very proud to have been able to do this and help when times were tough.
Team building plays a role in Evolution. Days out or activities at training! Without this, we would not be the team we are today.
We are lucky to be able to fundraise in our local area. We aim to do a couple of bag packs a year at Tesco. We also do sponsor activities like a twirl. All of this helps towards the troupe's essentials, including batons, poms and dresses.
We have also supported the Chard carnival Christmas Santa float, collecting money, and have received a grant from them.
This grant has been partly funded by the Chard Carnival 100 club.
