Our festival at St Marys, takes place between Friday 29th September and Sunday 1st October and as well as raising funds for the church we will be supporting Chard Carnival which we know is important to the community. The theme of our Flower festival is Wheels in Time and also as a nod to the Autumn and also the colours of Carnival we have another section which is themed Wheels on Fire.
We have been inviting groups and individuals to take part and we have over 20 participants already signed up and it is fair to say that peoples imaginations are running wild.
This year there will be a Children's competition area and also some craft activities on the Saturday.
On the Friday the Wambrook Wool Craft Group will be meeting in the church and there will be an opportunity to see the various crafts they do including Weaving, Spinning and Braiding.
We hope that there will be something for everybody over the weekend and that people will come along and vote for their favourite display.
